Total Presets

Description

There are a 20 "Total Presets" in all. "Select 1" enables presets 1 to 10, "Select 2" enables presets 11 to 20. When you feel you have adjusted the channel filtering, interference etc. to obtain just the right sound, the registrations for upper, lower manuals, pedals may be stored. If your organ has the MST4 AMS upgrade fitted, this will give (4 x 20) = 80 memory presets. In addition the position of the level controls may be stored and recovered with the "Preset Vol" stop.

Loading the Organ Registration from a "Total Preset"

  1. Select "Select 1" for Total Presets 1-10 or "Select 2" for Total Presets 11-20.
  2. Select the required Preset.

Storing a new Registration

This will lose the existing registration for that selection, so make sure you have a back-up on PC or tape first if you wish to retain the original. See Interface code Table

  1. Select the Program switch in "Code Prog." The switch will light
  2. Select "Select 1" for Total Presets 1-10 or "Select 2" for Total Presets 11-20.
  3. Select the required Preset. The registration is stored and the Program LED goes off.

Labelling the Switches

At the time of manufacture, blank overlay cards were provided by WERSI to identify the voices attached to the total preset, or Digital Voice Creating tabs. These had to be marked up in "Indian Ink". Overlays were also provided for voices in the Software option cassettes, that could be purchased. Swingtime, Big Band, Country etc.

Today you may use your PC or MAC to print the overlays. These are best stored with the registration data, and given the same filename. (Note if you are using the WERSI Software, to load edit and store Registrations or Rhythms, these run in a DOS or "Command" window and the filenames are limited to 8 characters.) I don't know of any Windows based software, please inform me if you know differently.

In the down loadable "zip" file I enclose various options. This may require a right click and "Save Target as" for some softwares.

(Click to Download).
  1. Microsoft Word templates, (Only useful if you have MS Word). Load and "Save as" a "Document Template". To use Click "New" then select "WERSI Digital Voice" or "CX4" for the required Template. As a starting point I have included the WERSI Standard Data. Double Click on the legend, then type the new identity.
  2. "Jpeg" graphics files. Various graphics packages come free with digital cameras and scanners. Most include facilities to add text. I have included 2 jpeg files, being scans of the original blank overlays for Digital Voices, and CX4 supplied by WERSI. Select the smallest font available and use the "Text" facility to add the voice legends.
  3. "Jpeg" graphics files are also included for the Standard Data and Rhythms for the DX400/500 and CX4, in case the original has been lost.
